TRIP STATUS as of May 23, 2002:

John and I have made plane reservations to meet in Whitehorse on June 5. On June 6 we will rent a canoe, and start paddling or prospecting on our way to Dawson City.

If the river/skeeters/bears/german tourists don't get us, we will arrive in Dawson (loaded down with gold nuggets, of course!) on the longest day of the year, June 21. That night we have been invited by a local gold prospector to the annual prospector's Midnight Sun party at the Snakepit bar. If we recover, we hope to spend a couple days at some diggings to see how real prospectors do it.

I have to get back to the lower 48 before the June 29th, but John may go on to Circle.

If you have any suggestions for this trip, please let know. Especially about folks to meet and places to go.
