2004 Meeting Schedule


Hi Everyone--Winter is almost over and it is time to turn our thoughts to 
Gold Prospecting. The officers have been in communication over the winter 
to make some plans for activities and objectives for the upcoming season. 
The meeting with VMRC about dredging should take place this Spring--
several landowners have been contacted about the possibility of leasing 
their property for club use. We also have a new supply of fantastic 
Australian nuggets for the raffles and are planning on having some 
panning competitions.

Our first meeting will be March 20, 2004, 10:00 AM at Small Country 
Campground. 

DIRECTIONS:

From Richmond Area: Interstate 64 to exit 143 (Rt.208-North)...go 2.5 
miles and turn LEFT at small sign onto 640 and go 150 yards and turn 
RIGHT at small sign on 649. Go 2 miles (bearing left on 649) into Small 
Country Campground. Campground entrance will be on the right. As you 
drive up the dirt road, pavillion is on right.

From Harrisonburg Area: Route 33 East- go through Ruckersville, 
Barboursville and Gordonsville to Trevillians-at intersection of Routes 
33 and 22 turn left onto Route 22 then take immediate RIGHT onto Rote 
613 - go to Route 649 and turn LEFT - go 2 miles (bearing left on 649) 
into Small Country Campground. 

From Manassas Area: South on Route 29 to Route 15 South. Take 15 South 
through Orange to Gordonsville - turn LEFT onto Route 33 - take 33 to 
Trevillians - turn LEFT onto Route 22 and immediately turn RIGHT onto 
Route 613 - go to Route 649 and turn LEFT. Go 2 miles (bearing left on 
649) into Small Country Campground.

SCHEDULE FOR MEETINGS IN 2004:

March 20, April 17, May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18 and 
October 16.

All meetings will be held at Small Country Campground, Louisa, VA at 
10:00 AM.

Reminder: We will be doing our $10 membership contribution again for 
those who would like to participate--new cards will be issued. 

Hope to see each and every one of you at our first meeting. There are a 
number of issues we need to discuss and make decisions about so we can 
make the upcoming season the most successful yet.
