Prospective new members were welcomed. Then Sandy read the minutes of the June meeting and Bob gave the Treasurer's report. We were also reminded again that any CVGP member who joins GPAA or LDMA to be sure and tell them you belong to CVGP so we can get merchandise credits. There was some literature for everyone to have copies of including the GPAA merchandise catalog and the Outdoor Channel program guide. Vice President Harry McElhone talked about the August club outing to Vein Mountain. There is still time to sign-up--sounds like a great time!!!! Harry had a supply of maps to hand out showing how to get to Vein Mountain. Grady Hampton then talked about a proposed plan to reward those who volunteered to help with various projects of the Club. He suggested that in October there be a drawing for a nugget, giving club volunteers free chances to win. A motion was made and a vote taken--the suggestion passed with a majority in favor. Gary Sensabaugh is going to make a rocker box for the club to donate to the Goldvein museum. Grady brought in another supply of 5 gallon buckets to pass out to the new members. Ben Vaughan was made Chairman to set up a booth at a show to be held in September. He will be needing help with this and more information will be forthcomiing on this. The raffle drawing was then held--1 Australian nugget, 1 Alaskan nugget and 1 United We Stand pin (with small nugget).
